Live Through This

Things that happened today.

We brought up Feminism in my class.

One guy was convinced that there were actually just fewer women making art because they weren’t in history books.

And another person deemed feminism in the United States as being “pathetic” for its aims compared to what happens in other countries.

And a good portion of the people in class couldn’t fathom the concept of internalized misogyny.

Granted, there are about 6 other feminists in my class so I wasn’t trying to reason with people by myself, but we were all shaking with disbelief by the end of the argument.
