Wall Street Protestors Rally Against Police Brutality
NEW YORK, NY - SEPTEMBER 30: Natasha Jacobs, a student at the School of Visual Arts and a Wall Street protester, sits in a park she has been living in for over a week in the financial district on September 30, 2011 in New York City. “At first I didn’t understand what was going on here and was skeptical. But I soon saw how it was an ideal society where people got together and made compromises. What’s going on with Wall Street should be illegal, corporations eat up everything. It’s time for change” said Jacobs. Hundreds of activists affiliated with the ‘Occupy Wall Street’ demonstrations have been living in a park in the Financial District near Wall Street. The activists have been gradually converging on the financial district over the past two weeks to rally against the influence of corporate money in politics among a host of other issues. Nearly 80 people were arrested last weekend in a series of controversial incidents with the police using pepper spray on a female protester. (Photo by Spencer Platt/Getty Images)
